I have a 3 year old daughter and she is awesome we have no problems with her except for one. When she has to poop she runs and grabs ahold of a chair or crosses her legs while standing and just won't do it. I ask her why and she says it hurts and she also has little streaks and some poopy in her panties. I am calling a doctor tomorrow to get them to check her out and find out what is going on. I am worried about her because lately we have been trying to potty train and it is going great except for the poopy part, Has anyone ever had this problem and maybe do you know what might be going on with her. She has always had a problem with it and when she used to go to her old doctor they would say she would grow out of it. Now its a big problem because it is hurting her and she is afraid to do it. Thanks

Both my boys have trouble with constipation. Fiber is what the dr suggested to me and to make it something she will eat like honey bran muffins, oatmeal, bannanas will actually constipate her more every dr i have been to said so. Add more leafy greens, less bread apple juice works well. And your right the dr might be able to help her i would ask about maybe seeing if you could get a stool softner for her and see if it helps.
Good luck to you

Hi,
I'm so glad to hear you are taking her to the doctor. And if I'm reading correctly it is not the doctor that said she would grow out of it, if it is that doctor please ask a friend to refer you to a different pediatrician.

More fiber is a good idea, along with more fruit. The other 2 things I would suggest would be trying to get her to drink more water and I would see how she likes prune juice, or pitted prunes. It happens to be something that most people don't think to offer children, but most children end up liking both.

One other thought, does she get enough exercise? If she happens to be a quiet more sedate type child that doesn't run around a lot, you might try running around in the back yard with her for a half hour while dinner is cooking or take a brisk walk. Exercise is just as important for normal body functions as diet.

Good Luck.

My 3 obtainable solutions to this (purely because of the fact this is been pronounced my son would have a similar themes) She's have been given Obsessive Compulsive illness She's have been given upload or ADHD OR She's purely starting to be and maturing and sorting out her barriers. That being pronounced, and because you're saying she is rude to the neighbor and performs in her very own feces, i think of that she's extra suitable than in all threat OCD or ADHD. in case you think of this is going to help ease your recommendations, you may continuously have her examined. each and every from time to time docs won't do it at considered one of these youthful age, yet once you push sufficient, i'm useful you will get your answer.

My seven years old daughter had problems going every since she started eating solid. Lots of fruits, especially bananas, dry grapes (cereal)and lots of juice (o.j.). When, I started training my daughter, would sit in the big toilet and she would sit on her, and we would sing... name(of your daughter) go poppy, name(of your daughter) go poppy. At the same time, we would shake our head side to side signing the go poppy song..let me know, if it works.
