I have been with this guy for 6 1/2 years, he ask me to marry him 3 years back. I have never gotten a ring or a date. We just take it one day at a time. He has been married 3 times before me, so maybe that is why its taking both of us a while to make the move.
I think it just depends on the age, money and love. Not a good answer, you just have to know your man and figure it out.

We were definitely committed before a year. After two years, we started to make plans. We were married shortly after three.
I've heard that the longer it goes after three years, the less likely it is to make a lasting union. That seems to be how it goes.

I'd like to know that as well. Says it all but acts differently. I'm dating a guy with commitment issues--maybe your man has commitment issues too..
Or he could be waiting for the right moment.

You must be living with one of *my* exes....because it's been *my* experience that the woman will be dead and dust in her coffin before the man is "ready to marry".
MY advice is to run away...fast as you can go...far as you can get, cause he's not going to change.

How long have you been together. Don't ever pressure a guy into marrying you....it will never work! Just give him time. When he is ready it will be right.
