I'm going on 27. I can drop and do 50 if I have to. But I generally do 2 or 3 sets of 10 (you really don't have to wreck yourself to get a decent workout).
I am average weight. About 135 to 140lbs, 5'3" 27% body fat. A little chubbier than I'd like to be, but I'm healthy, strong and I play soccer on the side twice a week.
I work out about 3 or 4 times a week. Cardio, weights and such. I like food, but I try to keep it at 1200 Calories.
As a note to the CHILDREN who have replied, women lose a lot of upper-body strength (in proportion to the rest of them -- we do develop strong legs, though) as they get older. This tends to kick in around high school.
If you want to stay strong, keep working out now and maintain good habits into adulthood.

I'm 19 and I can do around 50 at one time, but I usually break it into sets of 20.
When I still played sports we would do 5 sets of 30 proper pushups every day. Killer!
