You never told us how you came up with being 20lbs over weight. Your height and muscle index plays a part too. May just be bones and muscles.
Besides, you'll stretch pretty soon. You're still growing and like my little brother who is your age. He grew talker and his body evened out just fine.

Don't eat as much food. You may feel hungry all the time for a while, but try it out and see if it works. Observe the calories on the box of everything you eat, count the number of servings too, not just the amount of calories for one serving. Keep the exercise up, and only intake about 1500 calories a day if you are currently only doing 2000. Also what sports do you play, are you male or female, and how tall are you?
Drink lots of water too, you have to have water to break the fat apart. (although i promise this is not the reason you are not losing weight, its just good practice.)

I know it's not a girlie thing to do, but lift really light weights and do many, many reps. It burns calories while you sleep and the tight formations of muscle squeeze out any baby fat you have. This is a posting I sent someone else............. These numbers vary on a person's size and daily activity but on the average men burn 2200 calories a day and women burn 1700 calories a day. That means that you need to keep the calories below those marks or you will gain weight. If you are able to lose 3500 calories in a seven day period then that will lose you one pound of fat. There are a few ways to do this. One way is to eat less and make sure it is easy to digest foods, like vegetables, lettuce, chicken, fish, etc.. The other way is to workout. I suggest this route because you have a much more fun lifestyle and look better. Working out tones and tightens your muscles as well as burns calories. The easiest way to lose weight is to buy a road bike (ten speed) and ride at least an hour a day. The typical 1 hour ride will burn between 800-900 calories. When you get better it makes good sense to ride two to three hours 3 to 4 times a week. You can do the math on the calorie lose. You can lose weight quickly, safely and it's better for your heart nd lungs as well. Good Luck!!!

The term overweight is generally used to indicate that a human has more body fat than is considered useful for the optimal functioning of the body. Being overweight is a fairly common condition for many people, especially those in developed nations where food supplies are plentiful and lifestyles often do not involve a lot of activities that generate caloric expenditure. Recent studies have indicated that as much as 64% of the adult US population is overweight, and this number is increasing.[1] A series of graphics from the CDC also describes the obesity prevalence trends in the U.S. in the past 2 decades: Obesity Epidemic: U.S. Temporal Trends 1985-2004
A healthy body requires a minimum amount of fat for the proper functioning of the hormonal, reproductive, and immune systems, as thermal insulation, as shock absorption for sensitive areas, and as excess energy for future use. But the accumulation of too much storage fat can impair movement and flexibility, and can alter the appearance of the body.
Your fine, be who u want to be, but don't do anything you will regret.

Well, ignore any imbeciles called Iggy for a start! Forget about weighing yourself, that's just a number and varies for everyone. I've been the same weight and 2 different dress sizes depending on whether I've been exercising or not. You sound as though you're fit and healthy so please don't obsess over what the scales tell you, just carry on with what you're doing and have fun. It's a known fact that muscle weighs more than fat, go with how you feel in yourself, not your weight.

Who says you are 20 pounds over weight. You probably are very muscular. Can you buy clothes that you like that fit you properly. I bet you can. 14 is still kind of that in-between age, so who knows what your body is going to do next. I'd be proud of you is you were mine if you play 5 different sports--that's awesome!!!

Eat more food - any bloody food! You think you've got problems now - in another two years, you'll probably be having sex (if you haven't already - when you shouldn't have) and then you'll definitely need to eat more - otherwise with all that exercise you say you do and then on top of that rumpy pumpy as well - you'll be looking like a rake and then the boys won't want sex with you anymore and then you'll get depressed and start to eat anyway and then you'll become fat and gross and the boys will definitely not want to have sex with you anymore - my advice - go and live on an Island and watch Frasier and Will and Grace all day!

Don't eat or drink anything that says 'diet' because it usually contians aspartame. Ever wonder why all those fat people are fat when they all drink diet coke.
At 14 years old it is normal to start getting a womanly figure. If you are eating a healthy diet and exercising, have regular bowel movements (daily) and feel healthy that's all you need to be concerned about. Stop stressing, it causes weight gain because it slows down digestion.
