I'm a guy and my bestfriend is a girl. We both like each other as more than friends but both of us are afraid that if it doesn't work out, we'll lose our friendship, which I would never want to lose. Should we risk our friendship?

Dude, DON'T confess your feelings.. that will freak her out. It only works in the movies.

You are going to have to SLOWLY start treating her like a girlfriend instead of a "male friend with boobs". keep up the friendship, but every once in a while you need to be a "challenge" - cocky, but funny never agressive or a jerk, and never, never a wuss. Nature will do the rest.

IMO, you should keep being friends and just get the best out of the friendship... let it grow and develop. Get to know each other so that you know the faults and problems of the other person, so that you can trust each other with difficult issues, and so that you know she will be there when you need her, even if it isn't rewarding for her to help you, and vice versa. Focus on making her happy, and make sure that she is doing the same. Respect her and gain her respect. Never betray her trust or deceive her in any way, great or small. Then one day you will have to make a decision about this for good.

Your situation is a very common one with best friends whose feelings have turned or is beginning to turn romantic. However, you guys have one good fact working for you-----you recognize not only your growing attraction to each other, but also the danger and pitfalls if things don't work out.Hence, I truly feel that you guys would succeed as a romantic couple. In the very remote possibility it does not work out, I also sense you will still remain best friends .As you can probably begin to guess, I am in support of you guys starting a romantic relationship.Have one more heart -to -heart talk on the subject and promise to still remain friends regardless of the outcome of your romance. I wish you both tons of luck and a great romance.

If you are bestfriends breaking up shouldn't hurt the feelings you have there already. I'd go for it and see what happens because being best friends you have nothing to lose in a relationship. It could possible be the best thing you ever had. Good Luck.

talk about it and see about trying to see how a relationship might work out..trying it for a few days and then if it doesnt seem like its going to work out you two can know, and just stay friends

I would say go for it and see how it goes. If it doesn't work out then you'll know pretty soon and you both can call it off.

My friend, don't go out with her, she'll take everything you give her for granted, she'll rip apart your family and ruin your life. She may be a really good person but female humans have no control of themselves or what they do. So just thank god every day if you become single or already are.
