Hey there! Try following these healthy dieting guidelines:
1.) First realize that safe weight loss is losing 1-2lbs. a week.
2.) 1 Pound of fat = 3,500 calories. To lose 1lb., you'll have to cut out (or burn off) 3,500 calories a week. And if you want to lose 2lbs. a week, you'll need to cut out (3,500 x 2) which equals 7,000 calories per week.
3.) Stick with natural foods, non-processed foods...Foods that are high in protein & fiber, low in fat, and low in sugar. *Here are the best (healthy) foods you should eat:
a.) Lean Proteins: Chicken (skinless, non-fried), Turkey, Fish/Tuna, Beans (all kinds), Nuts, Soy foods, Whey, Skim Milk, and Light Yogurt.
b.) HIGH Fiber: Fresh fruit, veggies, and whole grain foods...To see a complete list of all high fiber foods, click here: http://www.slrhc.org/healthinfo/dietaryf...
4.) Drink lots of water: 8 glasses a day
5.) Drink GREEN tea!! Green tea contains disease-fighting antioxidants that help decrease body fat! You can drink it cold or hot.
6.) ALSO really important: EXERCISE! Do cardio DAILY, for an hour a day...Types of cardio: running/jogging, jumping rope, Taebo, kickboxing, swimming, aerobics, step aerobics, and stair climbing...
7.) 2nd part of a recommended exercise program is:
Strength Training...Do 30-45 minutes, 3-4 times a week. Types of these exercises are: Lunges, Squats, weight training, push-ups, crunches, sit-ups, oblique (side ab) exercises, reverse crunches, back leg extensions, hip extensions, and side-lying leg raises. To customize your own workout, see this handy Workout Finder that About.com has...There's nearly EVERY type of exercise/workout you can think of there, including cardio workouts you can do at home...To see the Workout Center, click: http://exercise.about.com/library/blwork...

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-500cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
