There's no good reason why God would be a "man" and not a "woman". If you hunt hard enough, there are several maternal images for God in the Bible. Being incorporeal, God shouldn't be anthropomorphized at all, but we seem to need the mental images.

The Supreme God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. is in the Male form and His first expansion is Goddess also known as Sri Radha, Laxmi devi, Sita devi, etc.) But when it comes to God He is a male form and when it comes to His eternal consort She is in the female form. We should not take these forms to be material because they are unlimited and can expand unlimitedly. (omnipresent, Omnipotent,) not like our material bodies which are temporary and full of misery. Their Bodies are Transcendental and not made of material elements. Sri Radha and Sri Krishna are the Supreme Couple. God is love and is never alone. We love because He loves, but His love is eternal and blissful. Love on the mundane plane always ends, ultimately in death. For info on this read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupadad asitis.com you can read it on line. Thanks

Sure, why not? After all, some people depict the tooth fairy as male.
Go ahead, imagine your invisible friend in any form, male/female/horse/cat/lizard....whatever! After all, it is YOUR invisible friend and no one elses.
If you are imagining a woman god though, please please please don't confuse her with Mother Nature.
