Im a girl and really want to play football
But im naturally thin and the school team requires me to be the same height and weight of a normal boy my age. which is 12
Is this fair

If you are not up to the requirements than Yes it is fair. I had a girl my freshman year of high school ball play on the team.
Now, if they said "No" for the fact you are a girl, then that would be unfair

I girl I knew played football from junior high through to her junior year of high school. Yes it's unfair that they say you have to be 140 lbs. I'm sorry, but they are full of crap if they think all twelve year old boys weigh 140lbs!!!!!! They just don't want YOU to play and are trying to think up any excuse not to let you in. They are being gender biased and you should call them on it. Demand to see the documented weight of all the players on the team. Or if you have a friend on the team already that you know isn't 140lbs, weigh him, bring the weight in, and say, "Ok, he's not 140lbs and he's on the team. Now what's your excuse?"

Girls should be able to play football, but not with boys. Men are naturally tougher than women (it's been scientifically proven!). but in a girls league of course.

Are there any high schools around you that offer girl's football? I work as a referee for girl's flag football, and the girls seem to really be enjoying it.

thats not fair. the school shouldnt require you to built like a guy to play football. get friends and protest this. its stupid. you could also try powderpuff football (and its not girly one of my friends moms played it and she said she saw a girls front teeth get stuck in another girls head). rock on and go play football

no, they may not have protective gear for a female.of course one girl that was in the news years ago, was kicked off the team because she did not wear a athletic cup.if you did play, they probably figure they would some illegal use of the hands in your case.( by an opponent)

women manufacture 1/10 the amount of testosterone that men do. this would make your body not well suited for a sport that requires great functional strength by most positions.
