He and his ex broke up almost a year ago, but I've heard him say how much he misses her a few times. She lives about 6 hours away. I don't think they talk anymore.

Do you have any advice on helping him really get over her? Obviously time doesn't always do the trick.

Depends on the relationship, depends on that individual. That aside how bad of emotional attachment are we talking about really? If its this extreme for you to have to reach out for some advice, you need to think seriously about it really hurting this relationship. See what its all going to come down if you and him can share some sort of simlar hope in life. Something like family, marriage, saving the worlds dolphine poplation, or curing cancer. It really doesn't matter as long as your on that same page. That wel help with that attachment one way or another just by the very nature of having a direction in life (espacially outside of her), this WAS what religion is but morality has change, and this forces us to have to be smart about this on our own.
