By having the Holy Spirit, keeping His commandments and loving the brethren

Im not Catholic.
But I study it.
It isn't very ethical.
But I believe, that whatever you believe you'll get it.

Example, if a Catholic believes he or she is saved by accepting Christ[PBUH], then yes. Soon, they'll be with Jesus.

Or, if a Satanist, believes the devil will save them, then hell yes. They will get what they desire.

But really, religion tears everything apart.
Just be good, and nice. Live your life well.
Love God, if you believe in one.
You'll get the 'paradise' that you wanted and worked for.

And in reply to Epharas_faith,
I dont think that just because YOU ARE CATHOLIC,
You are saved.

Look at Hitler! he was catholic! But is he going to Heaven? I bet your cat that he will never enter Heaven, even if he WAS Catholic.

Religion doesnt matter.
The INDIVIDUAL person matters.
If your good.
If your humble.
You'll be saved.
Simple.

I know I'm saved because Jesus died for me on the cross and rose from the dead 3 days later. He is a Risen Savior and is sitting on the right hand of God the Father.

That's how I know I'm saved. Praise the Lord!

Once you have confessed your sins, have been fully immersed into the watery grave by the Holy authority and blessed and forgiven and received the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are in his solemn loving and forgiving care, in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen. You become immersed into the Holiness and sanctity of God, Almighty, the Heavenly Father.

Firstly, by the promise of the Lord Jesus Christ:

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24

secondly, by the witness of the indwelling Holy Spirit, through Whom I was born again over 36 years ago:

"Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

The holy spirit confeses it to my spirit. I know because I know. Can't help knowing it really. God has said "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in christ jesus." If I am a christian then I am saved. Period. It is the definition isn't it?

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved".

All of scripture is given by inspiration of God.
God is not man that He should lie.

I have done the above, therefore, I have the assurance of salvation.
