Not true, Billy Graham has met with every president since Kennedy, And then there's Jessie Jackson, TD Jakes, and Robert Shuller, and many more, the Pope is a church leader that is head over the Catholic Church of the entire planet and he would make more news than the smaller Churches.

He doesn't. The pope just gets the most press. The president meets with protestant leaders and with catholic leaders other than the pope.
The one thing that is different is that the pope, in addition to being the head of a religion, is a head of state and gets all the diplomatic hoopla that comes with that. [Vatican City is an independent country with it's own ambassadors and everything.]
The real question is: why does he bother meeting with any of them?

Are you forgetting that the religious person who has been most influential on many of the U.S. presidents is Billy Graham? He is certainly not Catholic.

Unlike most religious leaders the pope is considered a world leader because he runs a country. Vatican city is it's own country.

Hmm. I'd have to say that your assertion is definitely NOT true.
If it is, please cite the "visits" made with the U.S. Presidents (dates, etc) by the pope.
Then, compare against the folks like Billy Graham.

The president is the leader of the protestant church. He cannot visit himself.
