My mom, my dad ran out on her when I was two and I am ashamed of him. Recently I found out I have an older brother apparently.. I never knew about him and he's 30 now and I'm an uncle! My dad has done the same thing twice, marry, get a house, divorce and use a nice lawyer to get the house and leave the wife with nothing. He is now in the process of doing it again to another woman.

I love my parents the same. Because my mom is always doing stuff to help me out and my dad is gone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. then he comes home, showers and goes ou to play poker until 11 p.m. But when I am with my dad on weekends he's the funniest, weirdest dad ever!

my mom always used to go crazy on me when I was a kid, they were really over protective since i was a girl and their only child. when my mom and i would fight my dad was always put in the middle to stop us from killing each other. growing up I really didn't like my mom, but now that i'm older, I really do appreciate her so much more than I did when I was trying to be a rebelious kid.

I would say my mom was the better one though, even though she was strict, my dad was so passive, always saying "go ask your mom" or "i don't know...go ask your mom" everything was go ask mom, like he didn't want to be bothered.

while i love my parents equally, my dad has always treated me like a babysitter and rarely wants to have anything to do with me. That said, my mother is a better parent.

I love them both but I'm almost best friends with my mom. I can talk to her about anything and I know she will give me best advice that she can. :)
