I inhaled a nut Sunday night, and last night is when I can actually feel it in my throat. Dont tell me to get my butt off the computer & go to the ER because I already did. I had a swallow study done & I'll get my results tomorrow.

But th nuts bothering me..It wont let me cough it up, i tried to eat bread and lots of water. I threw up & that wouldnt even push it up. It's affecting my breathing (it feels as if my throats going to close shut) & i m having alot of panic attacks from it. Its causing my throat to hurt, and it feels really irritated.

I cant wait for tomorrow. This is driving me insane. Any tips for to get it out or what..?

Should I ask for an Endoscopy? or what..?

There is actually a place between the nose and throat where these things can get caught. We use to order nasal saline flushes to irrigate the area. Also, the offending particle sometimes leaves an area irritated. Even though the particle may already be gone, the area is still inflammed and makes you feel as though it is still present. The more you cough and try to clear it, the worse the irritation is! Try some throat spray, the flush and try not to cough. Good luck!

Ugh. That's an awful feeling. I wish I can give you some advice, your right I probably would have said water and bread! The same thing happens to me when I eat Rice. I just can't get it down. I wonder where it's stuck that it won't budge?! Try hitting yourself on the back, maybe it will pop out..that's awful!!! Tommorow can't come soon enough. Good Luck.

In the meantime, try this: Tilt your head all the way to the right as far as it will go, as if it is resting on your right shoulder. Hold it there and swallow hard. Then do the same on your left side. Try it a couple of times. It works for me when I get a pill caught in my throat, usually on my right side.
