It is fine. As long as you don't use the TV as a babysitter on a regular basis, then you have nothing to worry about. But, there are times when it is just needed. But, don't do it for to long.
I think it is better for her and you if you do it from time to time. It is better then you yelling at her every second to stay out of the stuff your packing. But, look at it from her side, she is "helping" you pack.

They have those little fold up booster chairs that strap onto a regular chair. They cost about 15- 20 dollars, less if you find one at a garage sale. They have a seat belt so you don't have to worry about them falling out. Finger foods are great for this age or just cut stuff up into small pieces. The gerber graduates are good. I usually bring a travel chair with me, unless i am at my mother in laws because she has her own.

sounds okay to me...but also try puting her up in a play pen!! Those are safe ways to entertain a child....It isnt too healthy to put children up in a highchair with pudding to watch tv. My pediatrician said by letting ur child watch tv that may add to the chance your child develops an attention disorder like ADD or ADHD!!!

That sounds reasonable to me. If you have a play pen you could use that also, put a few toys in there with the tv playing around her that way she will not be bored. Good luck with moving, take it easy!

I think that is perfectly fine! I would and have done the same thing with my one year old daughter when I am trying to do something like fold laundry and she unfolds it, etc.
I think you may get more knocks about the pudding than anything else ;)

I definitely wouldn't do it all the time, but it sounds like you needed a break. Doing it once is okay - making a habit of it doesn't sound very fun for your baby.

if you've found something that keeps her out of the way - and safe and happy all i one - how can that be bad - one less thing to worry about for the moment!

No way. If she's happy and not crying. Keep packing while you can.
