I just enforce the law, if the regulators see fit to make it legal then so be it.

I'd laugh at all those who thought it should be legalized. Once it is legalized you will have FDA, AMA, and the Congress taxing it beyond any quality that the average person could afford. It will become so controlled, filtered, packaged, marketed, housed, shipped, and stored properly. We would have to build more centers to help those who are hooked, get cancer, or other diseases from smoking too much. Take the problems of Cigarettes and Alcohol and combine them and multiply that by 100, and there you'll have it. Enjoy.

Personally, I think it should be.
First off, the whole drug war thing is just a farce. We spend billions to keep drugs off the streets and it's still there.
We'll spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to lock up a dealer, just to have another one take his place the minute they are busted.
Think of the money that would be generated both by the taxation of the product and the savings in not financing a war we just don't seem to be able to win.
I think that would pay for a ton of college educations.
Of course I think there needs to be some responsibility , also. Anyone who smokes or drinks and drives, needs to be held accountable. Stuff like that is just stupid and dangerous.

Phillip Morris would have someone to sympathize with them. Smoking tobacco is already attacked and taxed to death. Whatever company started selling the stuff would probably come under fire for the same reasons.
Something else to think of. It is unacceptable to drink a beer at work (for most of us) so don't think you're going to step outside to the designated smoking area and smoke a joint on your smoke break either.
It's like some other people have already mentioned. The government would regulate the crap out of it. I don't smoke it and don't see myself doing it if it were legal so I'd just go on with my life.

It wouldn't affect my life in any way, shape or form. I don't smoke it, but so many people around me do, with no regard for the fact that its illegal, that I don't think it would affect their lives in the least bit either.
Except, perhaps, for the taxes they'd now be paying on top of the price for their product.

I'd feel free to smoke a "join" whenever I can, go to the cafeteria and have a coffee with pot. :) It would be nice. But also crazy since lots of people will start smoking it like desperate everywhere...

it would be a boon to our economy and save millions from law enforcement, our newest cash crop to tax the crap out of, and make a lot of people very, very, very happy.
