I thought these cars were going to be equal? then why are HMS always in the lead and have one most of the COT races..... it really is not fun to watch when they are always dominating.

well, theres always room for cheating. no matter what car they have. keep in mind they got good teams and good drivers too.
soon as they get caught again the press will be all over it.

I'm so tired of this question. I am sure that HMS gets checked more that all the other teams because so many have cried foul. They work hard, and consistently. They have tested and tested the COT when other teams did not, and you can read about it anywhere if you just look it up. Hard work pays off, and this instance is no different. Next year when the other teams have finally played catch up on all their homework with the COT, then maybe HMS will not dominate. But then again, maybe they will. We will have to wait and see. Isn't funny whenever someone dominates something people automatically assume they are cheating?!!

Do you really think you could cheat in NASCAR? If you used one extra screw on a fender NASCAR would catch it. If your car is out of specs by 1/16 inch NASCAR will catch it. If you had an extra ounce of fuel in the tank, NASCAR would catch it. If the transmission has a gear off even a little, NASCAR would catch it.
But somehow you think Hendrick has some secret that NASCAR doesn't catch? And winning puts the car under the spotlight even more during post race inspections.
People need to stop whining about Hendrick. And about the research that Hendrick did.... they followed the rules. They just found loop holes around the restrictions. Much like what most of us probably do when we file our IRS taxes? But then maybe we are all cheaters too! ;-)))

They are alike, but there is a difference in suspension set up. Of all the teams in nascar HMS tested the most and it is paying off. I doubt they are cheating, well anymore than anyone else. They just did their homework better and have gotten a handle on these cars. If you notice however their advantage is getting more and more short lived as other teams catch up. Gibbs is proving to be better at the COT and now RCR and other teams have been doing better in the more recent COT showings. I look forward to 'Dega. That will be the first super speedway. HMS will probably do well there as they are the only one who tested there. I am a Stewart fan and hope he does well, but I do expect to see either Gordon, Johnson, or Bush end up with the win.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! When testing the COT they tested at tracks that they weren't suppose too, they had a lot more testing than all the other teams! But nascar let that go because there was something called a "grey" area in the rules! yeah right! Anyways so then the 24 and 48 teams tried to get away with something else that was against the rules with the COT, but this time Nascar was watching, and they got caught, suspensions and fines were flying all over. It doesn't matter NOW, if they are cheating, because everything they have already done has given them an advantage over all the other teams. Yes you are right it doesn't make the COT races fun to watch, when you know who's gonna win the race!!!!

Well, I guess my dictionary must have the wrong meaning for cheating. I take it that research, testing, fixing, and retesting is now the new definition for cheating?
All these "conspiracy theorist" are starting to drive me nuts. Instead of claiming that this team or driver or that team or driver is cheating, why don't you watch the race, listen to the analysist on SPEED; both before and after the race, during the practice and qualifing, then you might have a better idea of what everyone in the pits, garages, and on the track are doing.

They are not cheating - NASCAR's made cheating nearly impossible to get away with. HMS is dominant because they did their homework, testing and research. The other teams could have done the same, but didn't.
HMS is ahead right now, but it won't last. It all seems to cycle around. RCR's been on top before, so has Gibbs, DEI and Roush.

Its all about people, HMS has the best people, the guys back at the shop they are the best engineers,technicians out there, they did alot of testing..and the car preparation is the best there is..There teams have the best crew chiefs, mechanics, pit guys, and HMS has great drivers.....Can't wait till Dale Jr arrives there in 2008....I'm so exicited I can't stand it, I'm ready for Daytona 2008 already....

I think you get out of it what you put into it. HMS has the $$$ to put into it, and look at the results! I am not particularly an HMS fan, but the results speak for themselves. More $$$, more wins.

Sure they are cheating. While other teams hoped Nascar would not use the COT, HMS went out and built and tested the cars. They found and advantage by understanding and learning about the car, while everyone else scratched their heads.
Other teams decided to play the wait and see game.
Ok, so they didn't cheat, they just took advantage of the opportunity.

That is what alot of people were saying about RCR in the busch series, just because they were winning. It is called skill not cheating. I am a jr fan but i know talent when i see it. Just face it they are the #1 team!!!!! They should not be brand for one mistake!!!!
