Ok, Im 24 and I still have acne. Since I can remember, probably 13, 14 I have been doing one thing or another to clear my acne with varying results. Anyways, I am eating real healthy now, like literally 10 fruits/veggies a day, 2 liters of water, etc etc. I workout everday and have been for the past 3 years,, yet my acne persists.

Soooooo I was thinking, what if I just did nothing. No more creams on my face, no nothing. Just wash it morning and night and thats all.

Has anyone done this also and succeeded? I dont want to hear about peoples acne clearing after puberty because my acne is obviously not puberty related.

Hi
I had bad acne, when I got pregnant it cleared up. When my hormones are all messed up, the acne acts up. Maybe get your hormones checked by your docto. Also try these remedies.

This easy, effective method uses one kitchen-cupboard herbal ingredient, and calls upon the power of a warm compress to open pores and allow the healing benefits of the herb to work on blemished skin. The compress method is more comforting and quicker to use than a facial steam, but is every bit as effective.
SIMPLE SOLUTION: Here are the simple how-to instructions to help clear troubled skin:
INGREDIENTS

1 quart water
1/2 to 1 cup dried thyme leaves (for a VERY strong infusion)

1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove it from the heat and add the thyme. Cover the pan and steep the mixture for 20 minutes, then strain out the herbs and discard them. Let the infusion cool to warm. (You should be able to put your hand in the infusion and keep it there for several minutes without discomfort.)

2. Soak a clean washcloth with the infusion and wring the excess from it. With your eyes closed, place the washcloth on your face for 15 minutes. Remove the washcloth from your face and apply an astringent.
go to the web site below and do a search for acne articles..theres a great one about acne and diet etc.
good luck
peace

Acne isn't puberty related it is due to hormones in ur body which u will have till the day u die. I use Acne Free 3 step kit from walmart which is the cheap version of Poractive but it actually works better. Its approved by dermatologists and doesn't cost that much. When u have ur acne controlled and just have scares left, use and face wash solution day and night. Also in the morning only use the Acne Free scar removal 2 step kit. It really does help. Im 17 and my acne is almost gone. Hope that this helps u ! GOOD LUCK!!!

Reading some of these comments make me wonder if my 13-year-old daughter will continue to have acne well into adulthood. She currently seeing a dermatologist and is on medication for her condition. It started appearing on her chin when she was about nine years old and has now spread to her cheeks. She does have some acne scarring but I'm hoping the medications make it so that she doesn't get any more of them.

A good way is to use moistuirzer. If you do not use that then your face thinks that it is too dry and produces oil.
That works on alot of people when tried. People just don't know about it. They are always wanting you to get acne cream. Good luck.

I had it really bad as well, it was due to the lack of protein and good fats in my diet. When i started eating foods containing omega 3's and protein, it cleared up :)

Try washing your hair every other day at least and change your pillow case every other day. On the off days, flip the pillow over. That seems to work.
