To the second answerer, light is a wave as well as sound, and moreover sound is not a part of the electromagnetic spectrum, like you stated, ironically, light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. So, your could at least make a better argument about the writers of the bible not knowing what a sound wave was, because they didn't know light was a wave either or anything about the electromagnetic spectrum.
Whoever thumbs downed me, read a science book.

Presumably when He created an atmosphere for the sound waves to travel on. Or when He created the first ear to actually hear the sound? If a tree falls in the forest....

I think sound always was there, since the beginning of creation- it's a result of something that creates the sound...

He couldn't. Sound is a wave, like anything in the electromagnetic spectrum. It says God created light and light only. The primitive men who created the Bible had no idea about sound being a wave, hence no explanation about it.
Now if they knew about atoms, wavelengths, and photons, they would have made up a "magic" explanation about those too.

When he made humans, or even sooner, yet my best guess would be with humans since he talked to them and they talked to the serpent and what not.

Sound is our perception of air-pressure vibrations... so sound was "made" when air was made.
