I just had a sonogram and the tech told me she couldnt see the sex of the baby, but that 50% its a girl. I told my bf and he just got uset because the lady couldnt really see it and that she told me its 50% chance. I dont understand why she would say its a girl when they other half could be a boy. I am so frustrated I havent even bought anything for my baby because I was waiting to hear the sex and now I still dont know and its hard enough having my bf come down on me also about this. I want to request another sonogram. What should I do? Is there anyone in the same boat as me?

You can wait it out and request another one. The baby might be too small. The female and male privates do look alike when inside the womb. You might want to wait couple more weeks to be able to tell for sure what the baby's gender is. Or you can read on old wives' tales. I have heard that when a woman has a very round belly it's a boy. If it's like the size of a watermelon then most likely it's a girl. But if you want to know for sure the sex then wait it out or get another sonogram from another doctor.

The clinic I went to would give you another sex ultra sound free if the first one was inconclusive, but only 1 more after that you had to pay.
They could not tell with my oldest so they left the room for a while and I squished my knees up to my chest as best I could to make her move and no lie when they came back and did it again she was spread eagle it was so funny. So if you do have another one try moving around and making the baby move to get a better look.
And why on earth would he be mad at you for this?! MEN!?!?!
Hang in there.

my daughter got a 3d/4d ultrasound at 23 weeks, and they were able to tell it is a boy...it was worth the $200 to be sure...it's been fun knowing what she's going to have in a few weeks...and being able to name him before he's born...you've got plenty of time...if there's no medical reason for an ultrasound, most insurance companies will not pay for more than one ultrasound...she also had a regular ultrasound at 26 weeks, and it was hard for the radiologist to see if it was a boy due to his position...she was determined to confirm it was a boy, and he finally cooperated and she got a good view, and was satisfied that it was a boy....good luck

Never be afraid to ask! I haven't been in the same boat, but a lot of times when you are further along, the doc will give you a break, and do a quick sono in the office just to see. Also, tears work good! Cry a little and your doc could break down and do one!

You will just need to wait a little longer.... if it is a boy, the testicles may not have "dropped" yet, so they wouldn't be able to tell the gender at this point.....
just be patient
