Violence against police has been on the rise as of late and this influences their actions at a stop. Might have SWAT on every scene in the near future before a police officer approaches a car.
Their are a lot of bad people who are attracted to this profession but they generally don't last very long. Lots more cameras on cruisers and in peoples hands and in businesses help police the Police.
It seems contrary to "normal" that a Police Officer would hang out in dives and other clip joints but some do and for many this is the beginning of the end of their career in law enforcement.
The thin blue line used to be a classic fascist organization but their have been great strides in the past 40 years to change this past problem. The biggest problem in the past was that anyone could join the local police department and if it was a small community you could bet that it was an "All in the Family" conspiracy. BillyJoeJimBob was the Sheriff and his deputies were all his sons and cousins.
There have been a few "wanna bees" who go out and buy a used police car and a hand held hair dryer and go around pulling people over with security guard badges. Some are perverts trying to cop a feel and others are full blown rapists and ciminals.
They do advise that if there is any question in your mind what-so-ever that you are being pulled over by a real cop or not to drive to a well lit public area in view of several withnesses and or call 911 to verify the location of the patrol car behind you.
If it is a fake cop then they will likely not follow you for very long and they will not be in uniform or have some other suspicious "thing" that tells you to take evasive action. The worst thing that can happen if it is a real cop is that they will yell at you for not pulling over fast enough.
I went for a walk on my birthday and got stopped when someone called the police and said that a suspicious person had said something to their child who was on the same sidewalk. This occured the same week that an entire Mexican family was gunned down in their home and I am a white guy and the family who called was Mexican. I was polite and complied, becasue I didn't know why I was being stopped, and he checked my weapon and permit and ID and realized they made a mistake. My wife had decided not to walk with me that day and she got a good laugh about it. I was upset but got over it.
Good Luck!

I do not care if this was an illegal alien or not, this is sickening, and she should be punished as a sex offender. If the mentality of the jurors are anything like the ones who answered the question she will not be found guilty. This was a child no matter where he came from. The teacher needs to be locked up, and when she comes out be a registered sex offered for the rest of her natural life and never teach or come in contact with children again. Women are beginning to make the news by doing some despicable things to childen. There have already been 3 in the news who were accused of the same thing.

I think it's pretty bad. My Father is a cop and has been for 30 years. He is a really good guy with a great heart - he wanted to be a police officer so he could help the community.
And it just sickens me that there are people out there that would take advantage of their position with the Government.
I think it is very smart of you to be on the safe side in wanting a witness incase you get a cop is who has the job for the power and treats you wrongly or unfairly.
Not all cops are bad - but, unfortunately, there are those out there that just do not deserve to wear a badge.

Dirty cops, a common problem. My town has the same problem but not as harsh. I don't understand it either. I think it's stupid and horrible of USA to allow these assholes to control and "protect" our neighborhoods. Not ALL cops are like that of course.

Police are the typical bullies we all encountered growing up. They needed to find careers where they could bully people legally, and they sure got it! I agree, they should be stringently tested for power/bully issues before they are given the job.

A totally agree... a lot of them are bullies who couldnt get far in life and decided they would carry guns and shoot at innocent people and bully innocent people and eat donuts and create havoc on people. I think they should be drug tested and psychologivally tested and anlyzed before anyone even thinks of giving them a gun.

cops have issues. They have some type of control issues and being a police officer allows them to deal with it.

i think that is bcos most cops have serious personal problems and seem angry at somthing which needs to be let out but they are not and so they behave irrationally, but right undernit lies good guys.
