"God" as explained by most believers is an anti-explanation. It's psychological window-dressing to disguise the gaps in our knowledge so that we can deny our own helpless ignorance in the face of a world that is ultimately incomprehensible to us. One thing an animal hates is to allow their weaknesses to be shown. That's only natural because in our past, as with any other animal, those who were clearly weak were first to end up on some predator's dinner plate. We're so uncomfortable with allowing our own weaknesses, ignorance and shortcomings to be known that many would sooner die than admit to them.

We still search out what everything is and how it works,
how it works together, etc. as we are worshiping God
in this life. God is real and spirit is real.
Just because we don't know everything about God
does not mean God is not real.
If we knew everything about God and His creation,
I would indeed question the belief in God, since the
belief includes that He knows more than we can
possibly imagine since He is the creator!
It just makes sense - way above everything we can imagine or try to figure out - not that we don't study our world.
It is a blessing to study and explore creation!
Spirit trancends the natural.
Science is not capable of proving God exists
in a natural sense - only shows some evidence.
Our minds are not capable of it.
The proof is in the spiritual sense only.
The spiritual and natural are two different things
especially since the spiritual actually created the natural.
It has nothing to do with "what we have yet to discover"
to replace God.
It would be like saying that studying dirt molecules has
to somehow prove the total measurement of the whole universe. It is even more so (much greater in magnatude) than that!
We need to put things in perspective.
The point is that our thoughts about God do not merely explain the unexplainable, He IS the "author" of the
universe and we explore it more and more.
Purpose is much different than knowledge,
and better.

That is pretty weird blanket statement logic.
I have never heard "God" used as an explanation for everything. I have heard "God's will" used as an explanation for some things, but not everything.
Some people always want to know more, understand more and are constantly in a quest for more information, more knowledge and more understanding. more, more, more. I am guilty of that one.
Some people are happy knowing what they need to know to enjoy the companionship of the people around them and to provide for themselves and their families.
In other words, some people want explanations and some don't and that is perfectly ok.
If you ask someone who is happy with the explanation "God" you are going to get the answer, "God".
If you ask me how they build a bridge I might start with the process of prospecting for the iron ore and coal used to make the steal that will eventually be used to build a bridge.
I would bet that, for you, the former is to little information and the latter to much information.
Like most people you are probably happy somewhere in between, and that is ok too. Just don't tell people they have to have a different explanation because you need one. Go find the explanation yourself.

Well, science has explained a lot of things and scientists have even given us the big bang theory for the explanation of the origin of the universe. So there are options besides God for beliefs. That's when it comes down the the individual to what to believe. Obviously you don't believe in God, because you think it makes unanswered questions to easy, so there you go. Believe what you want to believe.

God never intended for man to know everything. That's why Adam and Eve's sin in the was so terrible. It introduced sin into God's perfect world. I don't understand why people try to explain God when they obviously don't know what they are talking about. God's ways are not man's ways, as can be seen by Adamic sin. I do not live in "fear" of God as many would like to think. However, I live in the fear (reverential awe) of God. When I think how Jesus came to earth to die for my sins and the sins of the world it brings me to tears, because the "well educated" people of the world mock him and treat him with spite. I guess attitudes have not changed that much in 2,000 years. What I am especially thankful for is the hope of heaven. What can you be thankful for? No hope? Who in their "right mind" would want to spend an eternity without God.

God is to be worshipped. If there is nothing to wonder at. If there is nothing to marvel at. If there is nothing to consider, nothing to ponder. What then?
For some science diminishes the Almighty, for others the wonders increase. I would love to have God in my pocket, but I am aware that he is not restrained by my ignorance.

"God" is a convenient catch-all response for the gaps in our knowledge. Unfortunately for the Christians, God keeps getting kicked out of those gaps by scientifid explanations. Soon God is going to be completely evicted. Poor God!

What do you need to explain? From my perspective most things are very self-evident including that God created it all. Any other explanations are just silly.

Yes its "the god of gaps". There is a gap in peoples knowledge so they think of something to fill the gap. In many cases they thought of supernatural beings.

Exactly.
Since "God" is what we use to explain what we don't understand, how can atheists say they know there is no "God"?
The only way they could know that is if they understood everything, which they don't.
