I only has to move up and down and side to side, But it has to be smooth. Will every head fit. Are they all standard? I don't have much money and my camera is light, but I'm trying to use professional equipment. I have to do alot of moving around so light and quick set up would be good. Any make and model #s would be helpful. Also where can I buy it? Thanks!

I always wonder why people will spend serious money on a camera and a lens or two and then want to "cheap out" on important accessories.

Buy a good head for your tripod and you'll have it a long time.

Here are 3 from amazon.com:

Giotto MH-1003, $38.00

Bogen 3229 Swivel-Tilt w/Quick Release, $33.00

Bogen-Manfrotto 484RC2 Mini Ball Head
w/RC2 "Rapid Connect" $57.90

You can probably find a good selection on ebay if you'd care to look.

Plethora your best bet is to invest in a bogen fluid head for your tripod. All the bogen heads will fit all bogen tripods BUT all bogen heads are for different uses . Some are for large format cameras like the one used by Ansel Adams. Others are for 35mm cameras .and some are made for video.Check out www.bogen.com or www. manfrotto.com and search for the proper camera mount. You won't regret buying one. I have had mine for about 7 yrs now and have taken it all across Texas and down to the deep dark caves of Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.
