Thanks for being supportive. Fortunately, I'm a Christian and I know how some people who "think" they are Christians can act. I don't feel bad because they're only doing themselves harm. I was just asking what I should do and most of their answers just wasted my time. And I'm not depressed, I'm actually a pretty happy person. Lol.

It made me cry...
I was in a situation where I kept getting told what I wanted was wrong, immoral etc etc and at that point I was struggling so badly to keep my head above water. If someone had said some of the things you just quoted...that would have pushed me over the edge and I highly doubt I'd be typing this.
Do people realise how many young Christian gay guys take their own lives because they feel they face an impossible choice? To be so nasty to someone in such a delicate frame of mind is outright cruelty.
I am thankful daily that I am alive, that I followed my hear and am with the person I love. Everyone should have this right.
Anyone who gets on their high horse and tries to deny a person this right....THEY are the sick and immoral ones.
Thank you Pangel for posting this.

Annoyed isn't the word I would use for this. Sickening. I'm almost at a loss for words (without going to "bad" words, that is). No, they won't take responsibility for their words in cases like this. They fully believe they are doing "good" by telling others to cut off their "member"... justifying it by saying "well, it's in the Bible". I honestly believe people like that don't care if someone dies due to their words... because they don't feel responsible. But if it were to show up in the news that someone did this and why, they would lay the blame on the person who "cut off their member". *shiver*
They do NOT care... their choice of verses from the Bible and how they use certain doctrines proves that. They are only looking for the pat on the back from their saviour and they "you did well, my child".
The odd thing about the whole "God hates..." thing is that the Bible doesn't say that God tells his followers to hate, nor to disregard life this way... It's appalling what people will do to justify their actions and words towards other people. These are the people who can not cry later when someone treats them as less than human. Well, they can cry, but most people will not care for them... *Treat others as you want to be treated*

Pangel,
Humans, aw never mind, humans are going to do maddening insufferable things, and sometimes amazing things.
You are just alive in the wrong time frame, you need to live when humans are more mature, but that's eons from now, sorry.
People see what the eyes and expression of the avatar looks like - he looks sad, so people respond to that, mixed with his words. You have (well last year) a happy positive avatar, that pulled people in and made then smile. Rainbows and flowers. His is sullen and sadder. Avatars of animals are harder to emote, so you have to read.
Blood and horns, emote a less Christian attitude and prepare the reader for an interesting question.
Best guess, but babies look like they do so people will go "ooh" and take care of them, so I read somewhere.
People that hate - will say hateful things.
Peace.

My dear, you have read the answer of an extremist and unfortunately there many of those these days. poeple are scared, they know what to do, they look for answers and accept anything as THE truth. People are ready to go to war in the name of some God, they have not evolved enough to know that violence only generates more violence. These fanatics are everywhere and that is why we must be understanding and forgiving for them. The world is a scary place for them and they prefer to hate and eliminate what they don't understand, that which is different. They are homophobic, xenophobic, misogynist, misanthropist in general. They are full of rage and confused. Try them and the will kill you for the most insignificant minutia you can imagine.
I say, we shouldn't listen to them, they are crazy and there is nothing we can do to change that. people see the truth on their own.

It's certainly a hot potato and a very tricky issue. This guy who you have a link to seems to be a dedicated christian and so wants to be consistent with regards to what he believes and how he acts, that's pretty noble providing he can do that and if he fails then there is grace available to him, we are not in the era of Law under Moses but in the Era of Grace under Jesus - Praise God, there is Grace available to him.
I do not condemn him because I have my own temptations, struggles and failings and no-one should play the judge here except God himself who is willing to help him, and strengthen him to do what he knows is right according to his beliefs.
God is Just but Thank God, He is also Gracious and Kind or we would all be lost.....'if you kept a record of sins O Lord, who could stand?' So when we turn again to God repentant and asking for forgiveness then we receive that forgiveness, he wipes the slate clean and makes us righteous in his sight.
I know that sounds very religious but that's what we christians believe and cling to, we believe it to be the truth.

It's amazing how low people can go in this whole 'religion versus everyone thing'. In fact it fascinates me sometimes how people can honestly believe that their God is superior to all others, or even the 'one true God' (which comes at the expense of love for all mankind).
Fascinates me, but sickens me at the same time, given that most of these people have a clean bill of mental health, and are STILL prepared to hate those who dare to be different from them.
I choose not to say things that may cause others to come to harm (whether they harm themselves or another). Sometimes I inadvertently manage to cause harm with my words, but my choice remains the same.
If my words ever do cause harm, I am happy to take full responsibility.
ummmm.... yeah, I think I'm about finished

I have just read the question that the young man asked and I am a Christian. Firstly I want to say to you that i am sorry on behalf of Christians. Many can be insensitive and cruel.
I did not answer the question, instead I emailed the boy and told him what Jesus would have done. I shared that he was special in God's eyes, regardless of his sexuality and that we shouldn't judge others.
Thank you for pointing this out. I am sorry if any of my fellow brothers and sisters have been rude to you and insensitive. They like you and I aren't perfect. Theymake mistakes too. I know its not acceptable, that is why I apologise on their behalf. Shalom to you

I stand by you as a peace maker on this one and others.
God may dislike what we do, if it's a sin. But God loves everyone of us.... and we are all sinners. God loves us all the same because He knows we all have the ability to change, in our time appointed, in God's time.
How would we learn if we all bloom at the same time?
How would we learn if we didn't make mistakes?
God's judgment doesn't come fast, God is Love, Love is kind, patient and understanding- especially that we are human, and that we are here to learn and grow spiritually and physically. We all change gradually in time.

What disturbs me about A LOT of the questions I read and the answers that go along with them is that people seem to think that their holy book is the end all be all and is not simply "inspired" by their deity of choice, but actually written by him/her/it.
I believe the Divine to be a LOVING being. I also believe that the Divine wishes NO ONE to live without intimate love in their lives. Homosexuality is not MY choice, but it is beyond me to condemn them and tell them that they have to totally and completely suppress the desire they have for the intimate connection that heterosexual individuals are free to enjoy.
All should learn to "Choose your words wisely, you may have to choke on them one day"!!!
