Gee, young LOL, as I was opening your post I was sorting out the particulars of my hope that I would die on stage, as King Lear in his death scene, but then I saw it was no more than more Fundy babytalk. I changed my answer: When I die, when you die, when every other animal dies, it is the end of life, it is over, it is goodbye-time. The desire which perhaps you have to live on for eternity should seem to an intelligent fellow like you to be what it is, a fantasy.

There is no proof to anything after life, therefore I will not waste this life thinking about it. If there is something after this, I'll find out when I'm dead. Until then I will not fill my head with pointless religious scriptures, unless I'm reading mythology for fun and will not spend a moment contemplating the "afterlife".

Expect more than life? What else is there other than the life you are living? Why waste your time, effort, and money on a churched induced illusion of some afterlife? Enjoy reality, enjoy life, it's all you've got.

No. Live life to the fullest, because that is all there is.

As to your question, I would like to be in an Amsterdam coffee shop when I die, smoking some amazing herb.

HUH? I live life to the best of my ability. When I die makes no difference. It only makes a difference while a person is alive.

Look, I think it would be wonderful to go to an eternal paradise where I'm going to be with my loved ones forever. However...I can not just "expect" that, because I have no reason whatsoever to believe that it's anything other than wishful thinking.

When I die, I want to be in my own bed, fast asleep. It would be best if I didn't even realize I was dying. After that, sweet oblivion.

In a comfy bed?

Definitely not under water or engulfed in flames....or in the jaws of a shark.
