it is known when that day will be. Christians, save your breath, in 5 "billion" years the sun will die out and Jesus will come to gather up your dust. Isn't this the "rapture" so many seek ?

No one knows when Christ will return

One thing you can bet on...if someone sets a date for His return, that date will NOT be the day

No one knows

Well, if you actually read what the Bible tells us, it says that we shouldn't even concern ourselves with the time and date. We should always be ready.

Not that this stops anyone.

There is something very tempting about the idea of having knowledge that other people don't have. About being on the "inside".

Religion isn't alone in this temptation. You see it in almost any field of human thought or endeavor, where you see people trying to understand the "secrets" of some sort of "inner circle".

I used the word "temptation" deliberately here, because Christians and other people of faith will understand exactly what I mean by it, including the understanding that it is not of God, but stems from an entirely different source.

(Readers can decide for themselves whether that source is an inner desire or an outside influence. It makes little difference where it comes from, just that it is ungodly.)

Beyond that, I can only say that we Christians are not immune to temptation, and that a misdirected effort to seek God's will is a very subtle trap.

But it is still a trap to be avoided.

You are definitely no authority on the subject. You speak of fanatics that had no idea what the Bible truly says about those days. Thoughout history, there have been groups claiming to be christian, making up their own rules as they go along. They take gullible fools along with them.

The reality is written in black and white for all to read but few understand. Until Israel became a nation again, there was no possibility of the last days. That had to come before anything else.

The UN had to become a reality, also. Now it is. Society had to become depraved. Now it is.

These are just a few of the signs. The only thing standing in the way now, is the growing threat against Israel. And you can't see that coming? You can't see the building army of China?

Just as you know the sun will soon rise, we know the signs are finally here and now.

Laugh. It's fine with us.
