You can make roses from the peel of a tomato, you will need a sharp paring knife and either roma tomatoes or full size tomatoes, depending on how large you want them. Start at the top and make a continuous peel by wielding the knife around the tomato in a circular pattern making a long strip. Then when you get the to the bottom of the tomato and you have a pretty good long strip you just Wrap it around either a pencil, or your finger loosely, and then pull it out of the center after you have completely wrapped it around. It sounds like it would take alot, but really it takes about 2 to3 minutes to make each one, they are beautiful, it's a wonderful garnish to any plate. Have fun.
