I really like someone who returns my feelings in the same manner. He just recently moved away for college and we only had one date. We keep in touch and talk almost every day. Nothing in our feelings has changed. I recognize the pressures and challenges a long distance relationship can bring. Nevertheless, I think we could both handle it.
We are both very shy about bringing up anything concerning ourselves (as in relationship subjects). He is someone I can completely trust because I've known him for a few years and can trust his character. I'm shy and worried about bringing up the subject because I had a previous bad experience with someone else. How can I bring up the question of whether we are in an actual relationship or not? Should I just be direct and take the risk or just let things continue as they are, with no other reason but that uncertainty to complain of?

Unless you want to repeat the past, keep it strait and honest. Oo put your own style, personality, charater on your honesty, but try and shoot strait. It works because in the end if they can take the truth then their one heck of a person and worth dieing with! If not, if all we do is fear them, then wheres the love really? Someone most be failing right? So remember that with fear in this relationship and your life, its a choice, ether you fear what you feel, or you feel excited. See this proves you don't really trust him, or the idea of reconfirming that relationship would of gave a feeling of excitement, not fear...... and its your choice.... subconciously ;-) bring it to light
