So The Green Donkey is finally going to start? I'll say 10-1 that he starts. 100-1 that he hits the board.

The Green Monkey finishes a disappointing third. :o(

Roi Maudit, Sixthirteen, The Green Monkey.

The Green Monkey was being pushed along the whole race, started to make a move on the turn but struggled just to hold on to third through the stretch.

I was under the impression he was going to start last week-end, and that was a no show. Of course Pletcher knows where and when to place a horse, so he may have opted for this race instead.

Just for the sake of racing, I'll give you 8/1 odds...LOL!

*** It made the Bloodhorse so looks good for a real start!

Hopefully he will start and make a good impression! I like Roi Maudit and Sixthirteen! The Green Monkey will hopefully show a winning first race!

I'll bet Garrett Gomez does everything he can to win with Secret Design, try and show Pletcher he should've been given the assignment. Awfully short field, though.

I in no way liked the call decide for Gin, even nonetheless i understand this is predicated on the interest gin rummy truly than having something to do with gin the drink. some years back, there grew to become right into a horse by ability of Crusader Sword named Isitingood. The call grew to become into meant to be the punch-line for a grimy comedian tale the owner grew to become into prepared on telling. there grew to become right into a stakes filly some years back by ability of the call of Bodacious Ta-tas, which i think of is with reference to the decrease of what The Jockey club will enable in risque names. I in no way liked that call. i'm no longer extraordinarily overjoyed with Coolmore making use of names of historic figures like George Washington and Yeats and Galileo for a number of their horses, through fact i think of it truly is a sprint presumptious of them. the fairway Monkey is named for a golf direction interior the Bahamas that his possession connections have been in touch in arising. I agree that this is an undesirable call for a racehorse, yet i assume they discern that for $sixteen million, they might as nicely get some promoting mileage out of it. yet another call that I continually chanced on form of flinch-worth grew to become into Preakness winner Codex. The call isn't undesirable-- a codex is a manuscript rfile, generally a classic of a few sort-- yet your basic racegoer isn't into classic literature and that i won't start to tell you the way a lot of human beings on the time at a loss for words "Codex" with "Cotex" and questioned why on earth every person would call a racehorse after a tampon. ARghhhhh!

JR is Pletcher's #1 rider, so Gomez knows he doesn't get first call. Both always ride their horses to their best anyway. But Gomez may be in a pickle if JR's injuries keep him from riding, if he's already committed to his horse.
