Am I too trusting? Will he take advantage & cheat??

Question

My boyfriend used to be a complete player. Never dated girls, just used them for (yeah, this sounds HORRIBLE) sex & money... I think he needs to feel wanted by girls, and he talks to other girls a lot, and I let him. Is it wrong for him to flirt with other girls, as long as its not physical? Am I stupid for letting him do this? Or is it letting him be himself enough that he'll remain faithful to me but still fulfill his need to feel wanted? I know he's not just using me, cuz I don't buy him things, and he could have sex with anyone, there would be no reason for him to stay with me instead of just being with a few girls and not have to deal with the issues of having a girlfriend. I've met his family and he says he wants to marry me and have kids with me. Do I continue to trust him and let him flirt and call other girls or do I put a stop to it? Will he be driven to cheat if he doesn't feel desired by other girls, or will it make him remain faithful?? Thanks for your help!!!!

It doesn't really matter, the fact that you put yourself thru this makes you a prime candidate for it. You have to realize that people don't have some strange drive to just flirt with girls. It comes down to the fact that he just gets his pride from interacting with girls. What that interaction entitles is anyones guess, but you don't flirt in hopes that your going to turn down sex. Also just flirty can be cheating dependent on how much time and effort he puts into it, so by how your putting this, your all ready letting him cheat on you. Lets just say he could do better for you, but for the sake of his own self-worth, he doesn't..... might want to rethink this relationship unless you think thats all your worth.... love isn't enough, never is, never way, its what we do with it, and he, he isn't even thinking about, unless he thinks you need him to, sad.....
