I think so. I think they talk to me all the time.

I took 3 of mine to an animal communicator. She was awesome. I told her nothing about these 3 other than their names. She pegged them. The yellow one didn't want to talk to her but the other 2 did.

Those 2 told her about the other 2 dogs I left at home. (I didn't tell her I had 5 dogs).

It was amazing and kinda creepy.

Yes, I think dogs can talk. To us, to each other and it's up to us to listen.

The literature I've read says they "talk" in pictures. That's not what I get... I see body language but the animal communicator says it is pictures in her head... Interesting stuff.

My ancient GSD would bow down and say "morning" complete with the M sound every morning as we came downstairs. And when we got home from school/shopping/etc., he'd bow down again and say "Hello" complete with the H sound.

He could say quite distinctly and clearly

Out
In
Nite nite
ball

And he could be understood to say - but struggled with diction

Dish
Toy
Good
Door
Car
Ride

Now I'm not kidding. We had people who were professionally into voice communication insist that this dog could speak clearly.

Sadly Rufus is long gone - but he was certainly God's gift in my eyes.

They talk threw their body language. It would be cool if they could talk but there mouth and tongue are not meant to talk it would be like us trying to hold a tennis ball in our mouths dogs can because of the shape of their mouth but we cant cuz the shape of ours

Dogs communicate with each other and with us (not "talking", but the same basic idea). They understand some of what we are trying to communicate (though training), and we understand some of what they are trying to communicate (through understanding a dog's behavior).

they DO talk to us (with their bodies - we just don't listen!, so i guess that does make us dumb)
