i think i may be depressed.... i work in an office but i cant concentrate. My head hurts and i feel nervous and as if im about to cry alot. Now i think i am going to get fired, because im not so productive, others probably see me as a weirdo cos i find it hard to communicate with them, i need to get out, i feel im trapped. Every day i feel weak and crushed and when i try to stand up tall i feel awkward.....how do i stop getting fired?

GO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST!! You have textbook depression. It can be treated and you'll feel like yourself again.

Been there and it was from depression. And that is what you sound like to me. Are you using and/or abusing drugs?

Find out if your employer has an EAP (Employees Assistance Program) and get some counseling. Even if they do not have EAP seek counseling immediately. Depression is very real and can manifest physically if left unchecked.

Talk to your supervisor if you are comfortable doing so to let them know that you are going through something but that you have or are taking the necessary steps to get through it. Ask for feedback where your work is lacking. You may be doing just what is expected of you at work and the possibility of getting fired really isn't a possibility.

If you have not always felt this way then you really need to figure out what it is that is making you feel so badly. If it is the job, maybe no longer being employed there is not such a bad thing. No one can fix us but ourselves and knowing is half the battle.

Be well.

Counseling, counseling, counseling. In my area Pastoral Counseling is the finest group and they have sliding scale fees too if you don't earn alot. To not get fired, know that you have made a plan to get better and you will work hard at work, envision being someone you admire and copy that the best you can and stay in there, we are rooting for you! Go see a counselor. Make an appointment to see someone during your lunch break or after work.
