She may just still be young and starting to find her bark. Trust me, this is a good thing. A friend of my mothers had two chihuahuas and they barked constantly. My cousin's chihuahua is much better and only barks when he's playing or sees someone. It won't be a good thing if she starts barking a lot. I wouldn't worry too much right now. Sometimes it just takes a little time.

it is fine. she is okay. she has no reason's to be barking. she must be very content. you could try to do something outside the door by making lots of noise and have her on the other side and see if she barks. just give her some time. she is problably just a laid back puppy. my puppy rarely barked. i actually enjoy that. as for my other dog she barks way too much. my puppy only barks when she plays with my other dog to get her attention. i wouldn't worry much.

Nothing is wrong. Some puppies just don't bark until they find a reason to do so. I have a dog that didn't bark until she was a year old. She never thought she had a reason to do so, until another dog got into our backyard.

First, get her checked out at the vet's to make sure she doesn't have any physical problem, then be aware that some pups don't bark until they are older.

I have a dog.. and when I first got him,a few years back.. he NEVER barked. Then he got more used to the surroundings..and now he barks all the time,it's almost impossible to get him to shut up.

I have a rat terrier who didn't bark until she turned about 9 months. Now I'm trying to train her NOT to bark. Do not ask for something, you may regret.

Vocal cords in pups take a while to develop, such has humans, kids cant talk right away, nor can animals, this could be the case, or there could be some medical problem with him. . . . read, take him to the vet, I'm sure you've done that already. . . wouldn't be toooo worried about it, unless he sounded strained or horse, then, there could be a real medical issue. But, consider him your pup, leave him be, practice barking, but, if I were you, id surely take this as a blessing : - )

dear God, count your blessings. chihuahuas are one of the most barky dogs on the planet and you should bask in her silence cuz later she might get her voice and you'll be wishing she was quiet again! maybe she just doesn't have anything to bark at; she's in a safe environment and she feels calm and comfortable. if everything else about her is normal, i wouldn't worry about it one bit.

maybe she has no reason to bark, dogs only bark if they are excited or to alert you to something .
