Im going to a Gap interview tomorrow for a retail sales position. I don't have any khaki or black pants. I know that if I get the job I wont be allowed to wear sneakers and will have to dress in Gap or no brand clothing... so if I get the job I'll go shopping for some gap apparel. But would it be alright if I wore jeans with white sneakers and a white t shirt ? I only own sneakers.

no, you definitely do not want to wear jeans or sneakers to a job interview. go to target and get a cheap pair of dress pants. if you show up in jeans, they will think you don't care enough about the job to look nice for the interview.

you still need to put your best appearance in an interview. I would not wear sneakers. check out walmart or payless for a cheap pair of shoes. it will make a better impression. better to over dress than underdress for an interview. Do "business casual" that;s always safe unless you are going for a real professional setting

Yes, but make sure the jeans are neat, the sneakers are clean and fresh looking, and iron the jeans and T shirt so it looks new. Make sure your hair is well groomed and your makeup is fresh and understated.

Add some casual classic understated jewelry (silver?) to make it look nicer. Try to get that Gap look.

They look for people who understand the style.

In an interview you always want to put your best foot forward. This of it this way...if I have two candidates to choose from who are more or less equal, and one of them is dressed professionally and the other is dressed in jeans, which one would pick? In business window dressing counts for something.
