you will have to go to court. in most states now cops will not come to the scene unless someone is seriously hurt. they put it on the drivers to settle disputes. if you have his signature then that will hold up in court. if you got any pictures take that as well.

Depends on what state. In some states a piece of paper with a signature is considered a legal document. How much damage? Some states won't do an accident report if the damage is less than $1000 and no one was injured. If that is the case, the police didn't need to be called. Take it to an attorney. I hope you got the person's personal and insurance info.

take them to civil court. was there alot of damage to the car? If your going to get an attorney involved, they will sometimes write a letter to the person that hit your car, threatening to take them to court. this usually scares the person into paying, because they dont want to pay court costs, lawyer fees, or missing work.

Go through your insurance company and let them take that person to court in your stead for the damages. Meanwhile, go to small claims or magistrate, or whatever court you have that handles disputes under $5000 and sue them for breach of contract

you should always always always get a police report filed I cannot stress that enough. But if you have his signiture you do have proof that an agreement happend. Take them to court and sue, if he really signed that paper you should have no problem winning the case

It's a matter for civil court. You will have to sue the other driver to make him pay.

This has happened to me before and NEITHER time did I get my car fixed. It was all so much of a screw around.

Next time make sure you get the cops involved.
