I agree with Natalia. You should invest in a good, high quality, ceramic straightener. Of course, keep using the heat protection spray. I also use an intense moisturizing conditioner every time I wash & I also use a VO5 Hot Oil treatment about once every 2 weeks. My hair isn't damaged at all. =0}

I straighten my hair about 6 times a week and if you take a shower everyday use the right shampoos and hair products and cut it about every 3-4 months it wont be damaged so badly. It may also depend on your straightener because if it is a cheap straightener it may damage more but if it is a bette rproduct then not that much. Good Luck!

It won't make much of a difference to your hair if you use the right shampoo and conditioner to help it after. I recommend you to use the Dove one. I forgot the name, but it takes you about a week to fix the damages and you should just use that while you are straightening your hair. Don't worry about it being too damaged because I know people who do it twice each day and their hair is still healthy.

I've straightened my hair 4 days this week (i normally never do that)

my hair now has much more spilt ends and its gone all flyaway ... and i used protection spray !!

i wouldn't advise straightening your hair all the time (its not worth it when your hairs gone dry ... i would rather have wavy hair than damaged hair any day)

using any kind of product will help because it will burn the product before it burns your hair...If you use that product and moisturizing shampoo and conditioner than there shouldnt be any major effects. Any thing unnatural you do to your body wil have an effect. a little trick i use is if you have to go over a strand a few times it is best to straighten just about the tip of your hair that way you have th least amount of contact with the tips..cuz that is where it splits...then the last time over that strand go over the tip...maybe put extra product on tips of hair before straightening..

I straighten my hair everyday and it's fine. Just keep using the heat protection spray and you'll be ok.

I guess it depends on what type of hair you have, how much straightening in actually needs, products you use, etc.

Ask your hairdresser... perhaps it is less stressful on your hair to get it straightened chemically. The proceedure is the opposity of having it permed. Instead of curling it up and applying the chemical, they comb it out, straightening it. I had it done once and the result was great.

I have normal to dry lifeless hair. I didnt have to deal with my hair for 4-5 months.

I straighten my hair everyday and my hair is fine. Just use good products. I use Redken's Anti-Snap and Enjoy spray leave in conditioner.
Also, invest in a good iron. It will make a world of a difference.

Not that badly , I straighten mine about four times a week and its in pretty good condition. I use a deep conditener once a week and get good haircuts and my hair is still pretty shiny.

It will damage your hair, but it will less damage it if you use a shampoo and conditioner that will help your hair get less damaged and try putting some heat resisting leave-in conditioner or creme.
Hope that helps! And good luck!
