If you are truly born of God, isn't there a part of you that doesn't want to go down (buried) with the body?

Isn't there a new spiritual awareness of the Kingdom of Heaven that you are aware of? So? Don't you sense Gods love from your born again spiritman?

And there is such a thing as out of body experiences. Like Paul when He went to the 3rd heaven. Or John when he received Revelation. Or praying in the Spirit with God yourself.

When my body dies, I still have a soul/spirit. I don't want to go down there with my old body decomposing.

It is written that to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. To be In Christ is to be present with the Lord.

Like the dead in Christ. The body is dead. The soul/spirit in Christ & with Christ.

Dear Tamil,

It's funny because as i started to read your question i was thinking of the passage: to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Just like in the Genesis account- man was just dirt before God breathed life into us- and when we die our bodies return to dust- but our souls go to be with the Lord.

I agree with your view- it's Biblical!

However, my confusion in your question is i'm not seeing any Chrisitans who teach that. If a persons claims to follow Christ- they surely would know that Christ promises eternal life and that our lives do have purpose and meaning we don't just die and turn to dirt.

So i am a bit confused. i think you may be adversely painting a belief that most Christians do not hold- and any Christians who do hold that belief i would closely examine their other beliefs to see if they truly do understand what the Bible teaches.

Kindly,

Nickster

Since you seemt o be a thinking person ponder over some scriptures.Genesis 2:7 " And Jehovah God proceeded to form man out of dust, from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul." So before God breathed life into the man does the bible thus show that man was a soul? Ezekeil: 18:4 God says " All the souls to Me they belong. As the soul of the father , so likewise the sould of the son- To me they belong. The soul that is sinning it itself will die.
Romans 5:12 " As through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin- thus death spread to all men for they have all sinned".
Ecclesiates 9:5,6,10 " For the living are conscious that they will die but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all, also thier love and thier hate and thier jealousy have perished, All that your hands find to do , do with your very power for there is no work, nor devising, nor knowledge in Sheol the place to which you are going." ( sheol: the common grave)

But!
God's kingdom under Jesus rule will bring the dead to life upon a paradise earth proof found at Revelation 21: 3 and 4 " and look the tent of God will be with mankind and he will reside with them and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from thier eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry norpain be anymore."
Jesus said he would ressurect the dead back to life John 5:28, 29 " Do not marvel at this for the hour is coming when all those in thier memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out

roDo not get caught in the trap. God "IS" All in All. The petty personality covers the essence of Life. The only separation from God that ever occurs is in the mind. Be in touch with the Life inside and you will see why Jesus said, "The Kingdom of Heaven is within."
