I heard that you get a lower insurance price, and I can get my license in November, while driver's ed starts in my school in January...help?

Check with your insurance company. I don't think it matters.

If the state you live in gave you a license you must no how to drive and drivers ed would be a mute point.

In NY If yo take drivers ed after you have your license it allows you to drive after 9pm when you are 17 instead of waiting till your 18, and it's a %15 insurance reduction.

You should be able to. It's silly for them to deny you driver's ed. if you have your license. You can always learn to be a better driver!

I had my license for about 5 months out of the 9 I was in driver's ed. When I was in it, when you turned 16, the instructor took you to get your license! :)

Some insurance companies will lower your rate, some won't. Check with yours. Even if they don't, you might learn something in drivers ed.

I started drivers ed in January, it didn't finish till May, but I had my license in February.

And yes, it will lower your insurance

Of course you can. And yes if you take proof to your insurance company that you have attended and passed drivers training they will lower your rates.

i think the best thing you can do, is go to the official at your school who is in charge of Driver's Ed and ask them. That's what i would do if i were in your shoes.

If your classes are pretty full, they may deny you taking it since you have your license. I would be asking now if you don't already have it on your schedule.
