Could i have good Time with $2000 in New York for 1 week ?

Short answer, yes. If $2000 is just spending money (not for hotel and transportation) then I'd say it is more than enough. I had a great time in New York for 4 days with $400. For me, $2000 for a week is lavish.

My husband and I spent close to a $1000 for 3 days in New York. We had a great time but didn't do too much. We walked around a lot and saw the sites. It was expensive.
I would suggest spending less time in New York and maybe consider going elsewhere for the rest. There is a lot to see in NYC but a week might be excessive. You could go to Boston or down to Mystic, CT. There are lots to see and do.

If you choose to stay at a excellent hotel like the Marriot Marquis or the Sheraton at Times Square, it's going to cost you about at $1,000 to stay there a week. Maybe a little less. With the remaining money visit the top restaurants, broadway shows, and music halls. You'll have the time of your life.

You most certainly could.
Instead of going to times square or the strip to eat every night, go a few streets passed times square, and turn right, once you are inside the apartment/hotel buildings streets you will see a lot of normal restaruants that newyorkers eat at... mini marts, ect.
If you go out to eat, eat normal things. Go to the family portions places. There are a lot of free museums and events (check nyc listings to find out what is going on)
You should also shop around for good deals on hotels...
