I would say they would mach nicely. If you look on a color wheel blues and yellows are good accents for dark woods/ cherry/reds.
I would also say, if these are all pieces you love...go for it! If it's something you enjoy, is relaxing to you, makes you feel at "home" then how can you go wrong? :o)

Cobalt is a really rich blue almost like royal blue so I would think they would look fine and the glass on the tables would make it an elegant combination. Try putting a flower arangement on the table with both colors of a deeper hue of flowers as a centerpiece with a contrasting bow.

That would look fine. Typically, wood is relatively neutral & will go with most colors. The only time that I've found this to be untrue is when I tried to pair warm, red-toned brown furniture with yellow-toned brown paint. Clashed - omg.

Yes, both are classics. Blue isvery hot right now and cherry wood is a traditional favorite.

Yes they do but get some silver or chrome to decorate around the room and a piece on the table.

Sounds nice but watch out for white walls if you have them. You may inadvertantly create a patriotic theme. If you did that intentionally check out some of Ralph Lauren's designs. He has managed to use that color scheme very tastefully.

Sounds pretty to me. I have always found that natural things like wood and flowers etc. never really clash with anything.

Sure, just accent with the cherrywood color for pillows and maybe a floral arrangement. Tie them together.
