What should I do now?

I started seeing this guy who I feel in love with. I had a bad day at work one day. I call him told him i quit my job and i was going to the bar to get drunk. Keep in mind this is a long distance relationship. We have been seing each other for 5 years. Any way I met up with a old friend at the bar and the rest is history. I told him i had sex with a old friend. Do you think I should have told him. Now he is mad me. Which I understand but, should i throw away 5 years over 1 night.

Depends this is why lovers are not as strong as friends. You can go have a great time with another friend and it doesn't mean NOTHING to your best friend. But god forbid you sleep with someone other then your lover, its the end of the world. NNNOOOOO!!!! But thats what society teach us, so if anything, you really just body slammed this guys ego, which he is going to use to beat himself up now. Good Job.... if you guys had a relationship that was actually more honest then most you'd have a chance, but you have problems expressing your emotions and I'm more then sure, so does he. So really let it go, you and him most have some better things to do then hold on to a relationship that isn't doing ETHER of you any good. Lets just say if the relationship was good for you, you wouldn't of needed to sleep with the old friend.(this isn't some innocent occurence just because you were drunk, drunk makes you more true to your feelings, not less) And 2 if it was good for him, you wouldn't of been worried enough to come on here and ask this question. So don't try and work on a long distance relationship when you don't know how to, don't worry, theres no books for these things, no one should know how to do it, but neither of you are really doing the true thing here....... which is being strait f'in honest...... you needed more then a drink.... but I digress it doesn't just mean honest with him, it means honest with yourself....
