my cousin ust to do that alot but i dont know if she does it anymore. her friend did it once and she ended up dead.

I strongly advise against it. Online people are not always who they seem. Unless you want to face the chance of rape and murder, be careful of what you post online. Anyone can access it.

My heart goes out to the family of your cousins friend.
People are never who they seem to be these days, whether you meet a guy on line or in a grocery store. Always consider your personal safety at all times. Choose a busy public place, early in the day, and do not go straight home after the date. Let someone know where you plan to be and what time you plan to be back. It is a good idea to invite a friend or double date. Remember these rules should be used for any first date (Internet or other)BE SAFE Good Luck God Bless

It all depends on how long you have been chatting for, have you chatted on the phone, seen pics via web-cam.
If you do meet up make sure it is in public, somewhere like the town centre, a leisure centre - just somewhere where there is many other people. Good idea to take a friend or two along for the first half hour or so of the first meeting.
You need to use your commonsense, if you are lacking in this department ask someone older like a parent, other friends.
Not everyone using the chat rooms are animals - im sure it is possible to meet some really nice people!!

I would never meet someone on a chat line. There are to many crazy people out there and well you wouldn't want the next movie of the week to be about what happened to you.
Seriously people can say anything to you and you really don't know truly who they are. A person would have to be really stupid.

People just have to be sensible and careful how it goes. I've met men from the date lines and online chat and I've ridden the bus so I can truthfully tell the guy I have to go, he can't read my license plate, and there are people around. I meet at a fairly busy restaurant or coffee shop and if things don't suit me, I leave. So far, I've met over a dozen men and four of them are still good friends. Had a long-term relationship with one but he moved on.
Just use common sense and protect yourself and things may become a great friendship. Or better.

In the old days, I had a bloke I wrote to and when we met we went out with each other for some months afterwards.
I had his phone number and talked to him first, then we met in a very public place with my sister and his mate.
Arrange to meet in a group - and provide some of the people. Don't EVER arrange to meet him alone. For a start, if you don't like each other so much in person, there's other people and things going on to divert your attention.
People have to meet somehow and to be honest, if you treat it as if you know as much about him as a fella you met 10 minutes ago in a bar, you should stay safe.
Use your head. Don't trust him alone until it's proven. Stay with other people. Stay in public places. Take it slow.

I would meet in a very busy place and take a friend. If he cares at all he will understand. I have a friend who meets men on the internet and I ALWAYS go on dates with her. There is nothing wrong about being safe. There are tons of psychos out there.

If you are going to meet up with someone, bring a couple of friends and meet at a very crowded place, like the mall and meet near security.

well that a tough one i don't think its right men and if you are going to meet up with make sure you take someone you by that i mean a men any friend that you have cause you never know this world is full of maniacs
