It wears off because your skin cells are constantly falling off and being replaced by new ones. Maybe a week or two for your whole body. If there is damage, there will be color all year round but it will be red, not tan.

yes its true that your tan fades. I get really dark in the summer from hours of laying out by the pool, and then come the end of winter i am pale as a ghost.
i don't know if it will go away as much if you are pale complected.. but i'm sure it will. Umm i'm not sure how long it takes, i guess it just fades over time. Probably a few months max.

Unfortunately, no matter how well or how much you tan, it will fade away during the winter. It usually takes an entire winter to fade, but if you have a light complexion, it'll fade even sooner. If you want to keep your tan, use a tanning lotion that does not require the sun, or have your skin airbrushed. That lasts from 4 to 6 weeks.

Yes, tans do fade after a while if u stay out of the sun, its an obvious, its not ur natural skin color so after a whileits going to go away.
Depending on how dark you get when u tan, is how long it takes to get rid of the tan, to get rid of the tan that i had gotten last summer, it took me to almost the beginning of this summer. so it all depends

If your naturally fair skinned/white/whatever then yes it will fade. Give it about a month-three months depending on how tan you got. However if you are outside alot in the summer for many summers, it just becomes your skin color, and it wont fade anymore. But this happens when you are older not if your a kid. When your a kid your skin renews very fast and as you get older it slows and you will be left with dark skin. Protect yourself! sunblock! shades! you dont want skin cancer and leather beef jerky for skin do ya? with big dark spots and freckles? gross....

Yes, tans always fade. As far as how long it takes.. It depends on the persons original skin color, the persons skin type, how tan they are, and how much sun exposure if any that they are getting.

of course. ur skin tans as a result of harmful contact - the sun. Same as it does when exposed to things you might be allergic to - you get a rash.
take away the offender and your body stops defending itself.

Yes it is true. By the end of Winter..just when it comes time to put the shorts back on..you'll be as pale as a ghost!
Depending on where you live...it's that way where I live..it snows here. 3 months of warm weather here.
