My local Ford dealership has a Shelby GT, and it is listed at around 40K. It will be a collector car some day, but I don't think a Mustang GT with mild bolt-ons is worth 40K. You could buy a Mustang GT for 28K, put some performance parts on it and do some custom paint and wheels and get a car that looks better and is better performing than a Shelby GT for less coin.

I saw TWO Shelbys for sale at a Ford dealership yesterday . This is the same dealer that had TWO Ford GT's in their showroom, (for about a week, anyway)

According to my friend who works at a Ford dealership, you have to order a Shelby GT. They haven't even announced the sticker prices for the 2008 models, but according to my friend you won't be able to touch one for under $65,000.00

Some dealers carry them & some do not.

My dealer has a 2007 black w/titanium stripe.
@ $45,590 untitled &
signed & numbered by Carroll Shelby International.
I am told that for 2008 the only color will be Vista Blue.
but a convertible will be offered. We haven't ordered one yet but will soon.

depends on if you want to buy an old one or the 2007/8 model?!

if you want the new one, yes, go to a dealer!
if you want the classic one, go to www.classiccars.com and search it, but the classis one would be(if restored) quite expensive!!
the newer ones go for around $65k+

good luck!
