How do I know that this is accurate. We have never seen him have one, and the eeg test lasted about 25 minutes and he wasn't asleep. Right before the test they gave him resperdal .25 mg. They prescribed depakote, I gave hime to dose, but he started acting very violent, he was haveing violent tantrums which he never had before. So I took him off, now he acts like himself no more violent tantrums. What should i do?

I wish you would do some research on Zeolites...I have read up on them, and recently found out I have high toxic levels of metals in me..so I researched and found that they are also doing study's on children with autism, to remove the mercury and thermisol that the shots parents are forced to give their children are causing..please, zeolites work and I can tell you this from experience, on myself...please try to reaadup and get your child some zeolites..they are liquified volcanic rock, and they bind in the body, to remove that mercury causing the autism..please, it works, read this link..he didnt need a strong drug like that stuff they gave him at three years old. please, read this article, and you can even buy it on ebay, and start yourself..http://zeoliteautismstudy.com/home/

Depakote is for Epilepsy that is why they prescribe it. Many have seizures while sleeping. Keep an eye on him there are many more medicines for seizures that are not as bad a Depakote. You can look up a Ketogenic diet as well as giving fish oil capsules. Good luck

ignore compasionate-angel... she has no idea what she's talking about as toxicity has nothing to do with autism.
Keep him off the medication and have an appt with your physciatrist and explain about this as they'd be able to re-evaluate your son
