Pardon me....I am sorry that I phrased that wrong. What I meant was the changes in the weather are going very strange.
The tusami happening, the extreme hot weather like never before.
What about all the bombings?
Could this mean that the end of the world is getting closer?

2 Timothy 3:1
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.

Matthew 24:3-8 (edited)
The disciples came to [Jesus] privately, saying, “Tell us... what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."

I think it's called the 24-hour news cycle. When you only had three TV networks and a half-hour news slot to fill, there wasn't much room and a lot of stories got reduced to headlines or cut entirely. When dedicated cable news channels popped up, they actually had to start looking at more and wider ranging stories to avoid sounding repetitive. So we are learning a liitle more about the world than we used to. (A little. They're still very repetitive.)

Before 2004, Westerners scarcely knew Indonesia and Sumatra existed. Now we get video. There do seem to be more destructive natural events going on, but a significant part of this is better reporting.

Now, about this "weather". I hope you're speaking figuratively, because I don't know anyone who classifies either tsumanis or bombings as "weather". Rest assured, the world will exist in ten years. And we probably will as well, depending on the "weather" generated by certain belligerent political administrations.

There's no more natural disasters going on right now than there has always been. It only seems that way because the media coverage is better.
One hundred years ago, you wouldn't have ever even HEARD of an earthquake happening on the other side of the world. You wouldn't have even known about an earthquake on the other side of the COUNTRY, unless you had family living there that wrote to you about it.
There's also always been wars going on, too. Again, it's just more personal because the media makes it almost seem like we're THERE.

Well have you read your bible lately? There have been famines, floods, people turning into pillars of salt, babies slaughtered (at God's request by the way), whales swallowing people, locusts, crucifixions, whole nations wandering around in the desert for 40 years. And that's just been in the last 6,000 years since the world was created! Not to mention dinosaurs completely becoming extinct. Relax. It's not that bad. Put your earphones back on, plug in your Ipod and chill. Play some video games where you can blast some Russians or Arabs into a big pile of blood and guts. Just - STAY AWAY FROM THE NEWSPAPER!

I think there were multiple earthquakes in Indonesia in the past couple days, 2 or 3 I think.

It's definately eventful lately. We go through times where it's really active in the world when it comes to things like this, and then slow times. Matthew 24 describes these as birth pains of the time Jesus will return. If you haven't, I would suggest reading that ;)

The Earth is just going through a natural change. The Polar Caps had actually grown larger and heavier and put the Planet off balance. That is causing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, that are rapidly melting the Caps. And the Planet will shift back to it's natural spin.
We do have a spirit, or higher Lifeform in us, and is what we really are. And there will be repercussions, or a chain reaction on other-dimensional levels. Only those who want to act silly and refuse to face up to it will have anything to worry about. Because our spirit can outlive anything this material world can throw at it.

Learn some history, and you will know that it has always been like this. Here are some things that have happened that have not ended the world:

Eruption of Tambora 1815 - sent ash all over the world, darkened skies caused killing frosts crop failures for five years

Eruption of Krakatoa in the 1880's - such a huge explosion that the sound was heard as far away as Texas

Spanish Flu epidemic 1917-1920 killed about 2% of the human race

World War 2 - over 60 million people killed

I think so.

If I had lived during World War II, I'm sure I would have thought Hitler must be the antichrist. But obviously, he wasn't (which is scary, because that means the antichrist will be even worse than Hitler).

That being said, I was none too happy to hear news of an impending national i.d. card in America, which bodes ill, in my opinion.

Have you not read your Bible. I quote: '... “You will hear about wars. You will also hear people talking about future wars. Don’t be alarmed. Those things must happen. But the end still isn’t here. Nation will fight against nation. Kingdom will fight against kingdom. People will go hungry. There will be earthquakes in many places. All these are the beginning of birth pains (Matthew 24:6-8).

Don't be afraid. You were told by Jesus himself the signs to look for when the end is near. Before the end comes there will be many things that happen. Don't be afraid, instead rejoice that He will be with you soon.

I do not think it will be in 10 years, but I do think it will be soon. Jesus told us when the fig tree first sprouts leaves to pay attention, all bible readers know Israel is constantly spoken of as a fig tree. They became a nation at the end of WWII and sprouted their leaves, the generation who saw that event will not perish before the coming of the Lord.

Just be ready, we are in for some wild times ahead. :)
