Hey Almighty 28,

i think we know that wishng death on another person is not a good thing. And even though a person may not act on that desire- the person that ends up getting hurt the most is the person who is letting that bitterness tear him up inside.

There's definitely something hurting this person- and you may want to dig a little deeper and lend some support and try to put everything back into perspective. Without knowing the issue it's hard for me to advise you as to the depth you may or may not want to impose- but i think if we have the opportunity to help and be loving towards another person we should take it-- and in this case it seems like this person you know could use some support and a friend.

Kindly,

Nickster

Although I don't think wishing death upon someone is appropriate. I do believe that its okay to think it for a small time, especially in anger. I never really have meant too, but people have made me so angry that i have wished this.

Your friend is just going through a difficult time right now, and I am sure it will pass. Your best bet is just to stand by him and figure out what the real problem is.

Yeah, like John mentioned, The Defiant On is sweet. merely idiots think of that the undesirable ones are the atheists, or the christians, or the jews or the democrats or the republicans or the blacks or the asians, or the whites or the different "type". all of it comes right down to who's evil and who's solid. No particular team is evil. confident there are undesirable clergymen and undesirable political leaders in each and every team, and undesirable people in each and every race. yet it is strictly why the classifications make no distinction. There are evil people in each and every corner and cranny of each and every team of individuals. yet there are additionally people who're solid. combating over which team is powerful and that's undesirable is merely an hard diversion far flung from the actual actuality that sure, even your communities have undesirable people in them, yet you will possibly no longer choose to confess it, so which you blame all of it on the others (no longer you rather, yet you recognize what I recommend).

No. First you have to dehumanize them. Then you can wish death on them. You can see examples of this in many fundamentalist christian postings about gays and muslims.

Actually, some people can work through feelings of anger in a moderately healthy way by fantasizing about killing people they hate. Just as long as it stays in the fantasy stage, there really isn't anything wrong with it. Its just a coping mechanism.

It's not right, but it can be a common reaction to life's woes with certain people. Make sure this friend is helped... make sure you don't need the worry of finding out s/he's going to act on it, either. See if you can get them to a counselor, or a minister, or pastor or doctor if you think it is going to go beyond air headed and temporary anger.

Yes. I wish death upon Bin Laden, Ahmadinejad, and Lil Kim from North Korea.

In your friend's case I doubt they're being serious but if they act erratic or strange head for zee hills.

Yes, tell him to seek counseling. Whatever reason he hates his parents and wishes their demise he needs help to ovecome it.

He can however, overcome his bad feelings toward them.. He can overcome his bad childhood, his resentment.

He wants to do this for himself if not for his parents

Ultimately, wishing them dead is not value creating
if they are harrassing him or abusing him he should distance himself from their claws.

but wishing them dead?

no it is going to bring him any happiness

sprewing hate is like carrying around a barrel of poison.

It is none of your business and it is futile to wish death. If one wants someone dead, the best thing to do is accomplish the deed oneself.
