1. Je ME lève tôt
2. Nous NOUS dépéchons pour prendre le petit déjeuner
3. Vous VOUS regardez dans la glace
4. Antoine SE réveille à 6 heures et demi.
All of these verbs are called "pronominals". Meaning that you always have to use them with the reflexive pronoun.
For the #1 for example, to say "I get up early", the French language say "I get myself up early".

Look at the subject of the sentence. Each subject has a matching reflexive pronoun. If you're having trouble understanding when to use them, don't worry. Just memorize the pronouns and it will come to you eventually. Here they are: 1)je me, 2) tu te, 3) il, elle, on, a single name of a person se, 4) nous nous, 5) vous vous, 6) ils, elles, plural names uses se, just like 3). These pronouns mean myself, yourself, himself, herself, ourselves, themselves, but they are used in many verbs that we don't use. For example, grooming: if you're washing your face, brushing your teeth, combing your hair, etc. you have to use a reflexive pronoun in French.
Don't worry about the "why." All languages have rules (and exceptions to the rules). Sometimes we just have to accept this and memorize the rules. Good luck.
