With some GPS units, such as the Garmin Nuvi 660/670/680 you also get MP3 player built in. I have one of these units and wouldn't trade it for satellite radio or a stand-alone MP3 player.

See the following web site for a comparison of the Garmin GPS systems, as well as others:

Satellite radio. You won't need mp3 capability, as you can find all the tunes on satellite, and GPS is only for those who don't know where they are and aren't capable of reading either a map or street signs.

MP3. I need music, I don't like satellite radio as much though. And if you can't read a map that's your own fault.

satallite radio. I have Serius and it's great. Updated traffic reports, comedy channels, talk channels, news channels as well as a large variety of music channels. If you do alot of driving or plan on driving a long distance you dont have to worry about looking for different channels or trying to find the right station for where you're at.

I would suggest going with sirius satelite radios I have had one for 6 years or so and it is great the ones for the vehicles come with a vehicle antenna and a cigarette lighter plug for power and then you can move it from vehicle to vehicle pretty easily and no hard wiring to the radio or vehicle. You can buy an additional antenna for the other vehicle and it makes it alot easier.
