the selayang council in malaysia has instigated a really really really stupid DOG CATCHING COMPETITION.
it goes like this. the person who catches the most strays are rewarded with a large sum of money.
i can bet my life that these dogs that are caught are to be put down.
malaysia has really done it this time. i can say that what this competition is all about really does not set a good example for the coming generations.
i am disgraced by my country.
and therefore pls sign the petition below to stop this stupid competition

yes strays are a problem here in malaysia.
but this is only because we have so many irresponsible dog owners who don't spay or neuter their dogs.
and also in malaysia one household is only allowed 2 dogs.
i really do not understand as i see houses with as many as 20 cats.
i'm not saying we should do the same thing to cats.
to i urge u to sign the petition because this competition could also increase the risk of dog napping.

First I want to say thank you for passing along a petition to save animals...I do this myself and I have seen progress in some areas. Keep supporting animal rights! :) I'm signing the petition when I finish this!

I am wondering... are strays a huge problem in malaysia? I'd have to know a LOT more about the conditions these strays (and peolpe) have to live in before I sign a petition telling them what to do.

It is a tough one- better the dogs are caught and put down, or left on the streets to starve and breed more strays??

I get e-mails on petitions from them and always sign them it is us "Internet freaks" hehehe who can change it :)

they are eaten i am sure and their fur is for coats its on tv.
