What do you mean by that phrase?
Is it accepting Him as God and Savior and having a relationship with Him?
Is is accepting that He existed?

Or is it accepting Calvin's man-made doctrines on Predestination?

Accepting Jesus is a works doctrine, “marked”, that Protestants brought with them after they came out from under the Catholic Church.
Unfortunately all denominations are referred to as Protestants even though some, “without the mark”, never were a part of that doctrine.
Lately I’ve learned of those who call themselves as reformed, I question the philosophy of this title. The truth was reformed by the Catholic Church and therefore any coming out from under this rule & shaking off the dust would be more of an unreformed/unchanged/unmarked doctrine.
Who is Calvin, is he related to the pope? If he has works doctrine then he has the "mark" of the pope.

No, accepting Jesus is not "accepting Calvin's man-made doctrines." Calvin wouldn't call salvation a matter of acceptance, anyway. We don't have the ability to choose God, if left to ourselves.
To me, accepting Jesus means authorizing God, and I'll side with Calvin on that one. Nobody tells the Lord what to do.

It means you understand that you have sin in your life, and nothing you can do will ever erase that sin. It is understanding that Jesus, the son of God, died on a cross specifically to take the punishment for all your sins onto Himself. It is being repentent (sorry for) the sins you have committed, and that you believe that Jesus indeed is God's son, and faith in Him as God's son who died on the cross, and rose again, will enable forgiveness of your sins.
This is actually just the beginning of the Christian life. It is called, when you have realized and done all these things with a true heart, being "born again". From there on, we need to study the bible, learn how to live on this earth, and find out about the nature of God and the character of our savior, and how to emulate it.

It is all of that and more it is knowing for sure in your heart that He lived and died and was resurrected. That He did all of this for you. Instead of asking us on here try asking Him personally I am sure He would love to talk to you and have that relationship with you. Give it a try, You might just get the answer you are truly looking for. Good Luck. I will pray for you.

I accept the fact that he died on the cross for me, yes... I accept... and I don't care what terminology you use that makes you feel better about it .. or what phrase you deem to be the correct one.... One either accepts Christ or he denies Christ. It's all good with me the term "accept"
What would be the problem with it?

I even have regretted that decision of mine for some years as properly, yet, as somebody as quickly as instructed me, that present became no longer given to me, so i could no longer settle for it. according to danger, considering i became so on the element of the Priesthood, and extremely practically entering into that direction at that element in my existence, i think the soreness of no longer being provided that present. at that element i assumed it became a call that I wasn't solid sufficient to make. I nonetheless ask your self, and have that painful experience sorry approximately that I chosen to no longer exchange right into a clergyman, yet, I make my way, remembering how close I as quickly as became to the Priesthood. i can make certain that quite a few, if no longer quite a number of your answerers won't be in a position to hold close the assumption of the present of celibacy with know to the Priesthood vs. being a preacher. It takes a extra robust faith which includes yours and mine to hold close that. God Bless you.
